Steve started playing the cello at age 5 in Korea before moving to California. In California, he studied with Mr. Jonathan Koh for 5 years, who is a very popular and a great teacher in the bay area. Now, Steve studies privately with Mr. John Moran, a professor at the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University. Steve participated in both the 2017 Northern Virginia Senior Regional Orchestra and the 2017 Virginia All-State Orchestra last school year, which led to the opportunity to audition for the All-Nationals level. Congratulations, Steve!
The MHSO is very proud of Steve Han, a sophomore member of the McLean High School Philharmonic Orchestra, who was chosen to perform in the National Association for Music Educator’s All-National Orchestra in Orlando, Florida over Thanksgiving break.
