Students and Parents,
Please remember to come by the orchestra room on Sept 1 from 3-6pm to turn in activity fee payments, emergency care forms, get measured for uniforms etc. You will also be able to find out more about the German Exchange and Spring Trip. Here is what you need: 1. A COPY of your emergency care form. You have to turn in a copy to get your schedule so why not make an additional copy and drop it off now. 2. Your checkbook! This is the best time to pay your activity fees, pay for uniforms and even make a donation to the MHSOPA. 3. Philharmonic students will need to indicate if they are considering going to Germany in January. The cost of the trip is being estimated at about $1500-$1600. A commitment needs to be made to the travel company very soon in order to lock in the airline price. Dates to put on your calendar: September 1 - Orchestra Kickoff from 3-6 pm in the orchestra room September 17 - 7pm - Mandatory Parent Meeting ( At least one parent/ guardian MUST attend, the info is not repeated at Back to School night) September 26 ( tentative ) - Orchestra car wash at Old Firehouse in McLean.
