Today the MHS Philharmonic Orchestra had an absolutely wonderful visit from Akemi Takayama, violin professor at Shenandoah Conservatory and member of the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra as well as the Williamsburg Symphonia. It was very impressive how much the orchestra improved on phrasing and bow speed in Britten's Simple Symphony. What a treat! Thank you, Akemi!
