McLean HS Violinist Ryan Chun takes 1st Place in U.S. Army Young Artists Competition, Goldie Woods Receives Honorable Mention

Ms. Smith and the MHSO are so extremely proud of violinist Ryan Chun, who recently won 🥇 1st place in the Strings Division of the 2024 U.S. Army Orchestra Young Artist Competition with his ravishing performance of the 3rd movement of the Sibelius Violin Concerto! Having won the competition, he will be performing in a concert on May 17, 2024 at Schlesinger Concert Hall featuring Young Artist competition winners and side-by-side with the Army Orchestra.

​We are also excited to mention that harpist Goldie Woods received an Honorable Mention and will also be performing on May 17th.

The concert is free to the public and we hope to see you there!
