Due to FCPS's decision to close schools and offices tomorrow, March 6th, the CONCERT ORCHESTRA's performance for the District XII Assessment has been CANCELLED. The Virginia Band & Orchestra Directors Association is working to try and reschedule tomorrow's cancelled performances, although there are no guarantees of this. I will distribute information on this as soon as I obtain it.
SYMPHONIC & PHILHARMONIC's performances are still planned as scheduled for Saturday. Keep an eye on FCPS emergency alerts for any announcements on Saturday. If schools are closed Saturday, the assessment event will be cancelled. If schools open at 12pm on Saturday, Symphonic's performance will be cancelled, but Philharmonic Orchestra's performance will take place. I will be sure to email all students and parents involved confirming the bus transportation for Saturday.
Stay warm, and stay tuned (pun intended!),
