confirmed as a recipient of a
Wolf Trap
Foundation Teachers Scholarship,
which is awarded to individual public high
school teachers/classes in the Performing
Arts, for instruction leading to student
performance. Selections are made from high
schools in Washington, DC; Montgomery
County, MD; Prince George's County, MD; and
Fairfax County, VA. Ms. Sandberg will
receive a check for $2,500 for use within
her orchestra program.

ASTA Orchestra Director of the Year
Director, Gretta Sandberg,
recipient of the Virginia Chapter of the American
String Teachers Association 2007 Orchestra Director of the Year
Award. The McLean High School Orchestras are comprised of three different levels of
string orchestra: Concert Strings, Symphonic Strings and
Chamber Soloists. The MHSO's core instruments consist of
the violin, viola, cello, double bass, harp and piano.
